Jul 2019
like a monster
in the movies. I tried
to run from it. But it was
too fast. I tried
to give it the slip –
But it stared me down
in the face. I was no match
for it. Even though I
clashed with it –
I couldn’t escape. I waited
it out in hopes it would
give out. But it only made me
give in. It’s something
I can’t figure –
How it got me
in its clutches, and wooed me
with its touches
even when
I was choking.
