My dark-brown eyes are a personal journal,
Whispering softly not wanting to be heard.
Until I am alone on the stage,
And a spotlight shines brightly upon them.
My dark-brown eyes become a radiant picture book,
Filled with stories of adventure and fantasy.
However, once I take my final bow,
And the curtain closes before me.
My dark-brown eyes, which are simple and plain,
Shut their colorful pages and become quiet once more.
