THE LINE STEALER

Always being a bit
of an Imaginer.

Never read a book
Always enter it.

Become it
so to speak.

The same with Music - mutate into note followed by note.
The same with Art - transform into pigment and paint.
The same with Movies - flicker into celluloid.

Was a sucker for
the black and whites.

Film Noir was well
kinda more-ish!

Would just walk into
IN A LONELY PLACE

The actors looking amazed.
Steal their lines before they

could say 'em
left them speechless.

Then back in real life
use them as if they were my own.

Worked all the time
'cept on movie buffs.

“I was born when I met you.
I lived while I loved you."

Just my luck it was
her favourite movie.

Slapped me across the face
she so Gloria Grahame-ish

despite giving it
my best Bogey.

"I died when you left me.” I said
- to the slamming door.
