The tied tether that will always bind us
Tugs at my heart.
You drift as does a lost kite,
High above.
And across all lands and seas.
I stand rooted, feet firmly planted,
always here.

You course above and across and over,
Always tugging, always pulling, always searching.
Lost and drifting, tether tangling, constant searching.
And no matter where you fly drift soar crease or fall
Know that for as long as I live and love,
A home in my heart you will forever have.
