The rain,
the sound of it as it cascades off of the window panes,
the metal tingy sound as it meets the gutters.

The grey skies,
the gloomy feel,
the frowns that could be smiles,
if,
if you take a moment to count the shades of grey in the sky.

A smile formed from one that is deaf... ..

if,
if they could only hear what you hear,
the sound of a car swooshing by in the rain.

The melodic sound of a windshield wiper
as it sways to and fro.

The sound of thunder that even scares the unimpaired.

There is serenity and peace to be found in the rain.

While others complain about it,
find misery in it.

I listen and find things most overlook,
take for granted.

An unforgettable intimate kiss in the rain---

I like to walk in tall wet grass,
barefoot while it rains,
damp heavy sticky clothes...

--- I smile
and stare up at the grey sky.

... ..

Then there was blue-----
