sitting in circles
on broken lawn chairs
and cold steps
these circles were always broken
with missing pieces and broken hearts
held together with nicotine and drunken laughter

the smoke rises and disapears
fragments of friendships ending
the circle of that fades
which was the feeling

the nicotine in our blood
mixed with ***** and beer
we lost the ball again
better go buy a new one
unlimited
everything

night buses mixed with smoke and *****
city lights that gaze down on lonely mornings
the summer never lasts long

our circles fade
the chairs break
the steps get wet
the hearts mend and friendships last
but where does that smoke go
