If I never met you
My path would shine like morning sunlight
Reflecting through the dew
If I never met you

If you never met me
You path would flow like rivers driving
Towards the open sea
If you never met me

And the sun slowly dies
All the rivers run dry
Blue sky turns to black
How can we ever turn back

If I ever knew why
Your eyes cut into mine like mountains
Piercing through the sky
If I ever knew why

If you ever could know
My heart like bondless chasm pulled you
Deeper down below
If you ever could know

Now mountains fall to dust
And the chasm's filled up
All the forests drop their leaves
Surely now we can see
That my sun's surely died
And your river's run dry
Both our skies fade to black
We can never go back
