Mirage
Scurry now and hide behind
Images of a perfect life
Sickly sweet so pure and kind
The innocent facade
Wear your tie to choke the words
Pull down your sleeves and hide the scars
Shine your shoes upon the sherd
The image that you show
I would like to follow you
Share everything you plaster to the walls
But everything you say or do
Is just a two dimensional mirage
So easy to pretend that
Life's a never ending sunset
Push away your weaknesses
Ignore the past that you regret
There's no space for any depth
Put on a paper smile
Admiration in a click
Your world revolves around it now
Hold out your attention stick
Salute the dismal show
I would like to follow you
Share everything you plaster to the walls
But everything you say or do
Is just a two dimensional mirage
Naive to just defend that
Life's a never ending sunset
