Outside was a girl with a smile
That brightened the room for a while
A girl with eyes of joy
That'd bring your mind to ease

What you see on the outside isn't her
Because she hides in disguise
Underneath her wouldn't lie
Just picture her world in your eyes

Shes got a contagious laugh but she hides behind herself oh yeah that girl shes something else and if she would escape from her mad mad world I would bring that girl to mine.

What happened to the days she smiled
When her heart was just a child
She could do whatever she wanted to
She could have whatever she wanted to

If she could only see what she means to me or if she could feel the feelings that I felt and if she would escape from her wretched world I would bring that girl to mine,  I would.
A poem turned into a song, written from a girl to me, about herself.
