A STILL SMALL VOICE
A still small voice spoke to me last night,
inviting me to the Eternal Light!
I have prayed fervently: “Lord, my soul to keep!”
then rolled under the covers and went back to sleep.
Disobedience is humankind's downfall...
we constantly fail to heed the call.
Straining and striving to reach our peak,
we ignore the call and play Hide and Seek.
Nothing ever satisfies us; we're left High and Dry...
empty inside, no matter what we try!
Be Faithful to what we've heard and read!
But fail to awaken and get out of our bed.
Life is fleeting like a vapor.
We're going to be judged; did we love our neighbor?
In the end, only Love will last!
Everything's else is destined to pass.
Regret is a terrible burden to carry.
Trust in The Lord! Do not tarry!
That still small voice may never speak again.
This may be your last chance. Amen.
