I had a dream, not long ago
and you, my friend, were there
we skipped in meadows green and lush
with flowers everywhere
Then all at once, I was alone
and all the green was grey
the colors, smells and happiness
just disappeared that day
I searched for you, and called your name
but you could not be found
My heart skipped faster, I shed a tear
Thinking you wouldn't be around
Then I awoke, and you were there
I smiled a smile, and kissed you
And rolled over to doze again
And hope that maybe this time
I don't lose you in my dreams.
