I want to run away with you,
But not like the rest.
I want to try on sweaters and hats with you.
I want to sample churches
And laugh when we aren't supposed to.
I want to elope to the moon
And dress as if we're silent film stars.
We can build a coffee house
And use chamomile to soothe old scars.
The conversations will never fall asleep
If we fill them with hot water.
But we don't know how to swim,
And they'll become odder and odder.
So please take my hand.
And dive with me, dear.
Because floating won't be difficult
With me always right here.
