Crashing
Into fringed seas
Sinking down
No air to breathe
Darkness deepens
Sky no longer seen

Drowning
A crushing helplessness
Liquid turns to pain
Entering an unwilling chest
Screams unheard
Only water hears you confess

Dying
Blackness begins inside
The spark fading
As the last flame hides
Regret remains
As all else subsides
