In the falling evening light,
the radio plays by wire,
Billy Joel swears the truth,
We didn't start the fire.

It's in the air tonight,
as Phil Collins plays the drums,
the melancholy melody,
drives us deeper into glum.

But suddenly a knowing lick,
the riff it, does begin,
Steve Perry doesn't stop believing,
we break into a grin.
