You know that song. “I look up from the ground, to see your sad and teary eyes”

And my friend said “I know you love her, but it’s over mate”

It is a sad song. The singer’s girlfriend is cheating. Not with anyone. With a friend of the singer.

This song is played on the radio stations in the Netherlands.

“I know you love her, but it’s over mate”
“It is the feeling of betrayal, that I just can’t seem to shake”

Some stations play it as Jon Cobbe Hume, Dean Lewis, and Grant Loaney wants it. They play it like how someone with grief should speak if his best friend is cheating with the girlfriend.

Some stations have tampered with the song and cut out one word in the second verse.

“It is the feeling of betrayal, that I just can’t seem to shake”

A while back I wrote a poem that I posted on this platform. It was a poem about feelings. It got censored.

So we do not talk about these things? It is part of everyday life that others can just cut out our words for the sake of sanity. Are we not losing sanity when we do just that? Are we not being betrayed when people silence our words?

The maker of this platform sees my teary eyes.
You look away from me.

It'll be alright
It'll be alright
It'll be alright
It'll be alright
It'll be alright
