Dear Fellow Poets,

I’m back! My previous account is dr Jade and I’ve been a member since 2013. I have stopped writing for a couple of years, when I remembered this site. I do not have access to that account anymore, as I have deactivated the email address associated with it. However, I was able to read my previous poems, and it reminded me of where I have been (somewhat of a dark place) and where I am now.

Time does heal some wounds and I am proud of the scars I now bear. I’d like to believe that I have become stronger and happier.

To my old friends here, it’s great to be back and I hope to encounter you and your poems. To new people I will meet, hello.

I’d like to end this short note with a poem I wrote before:

Blessed is the heartache
That eroded your skin
To reveal your bleeding self beneath
With the other fears, of rejection, of physical pain,
Of losing your mind, of losing your eyes
Bleeding words, painting, making music

When the world suddenly turns upside down
You plunge deep to swim with the stars
You are not afraid of the darkness
Knowing it makes the light shine brighter
Proximate, Intimate, Infinite...
And when I taste your poetry, I kiss your name
dr Jade
