Core instincts have taken me for a ride
Inner values giving lucid reminders
to be kinder, gentler, indifferent
when it matters

New Shoes for new views
more clues but less to do

Compromise for my fellow guys
when masculinity revives
in men's eyes

Swift rebuke from common knowledge
if we knew now what
we wouldn't know then

how many times
must everything align
in different points of view
Until we know what to do

Knowing, but not growing
glowing, but not showing

making space and saving face

Changing place
in the middle of a race
