Death will come for all men when it is their time. You sit and in your world the sun is gone, And night has taken hold. Though as young as you are old, We choose not when death will take hold. And my day will blaze on, My skin soaking in sunlight; But I too will join you in ground and dirt, Where the earthworms burrow And the shadows spurt Gushing upon my once tanned skin, At level where it basks your rotting limbs But this is not you anymore. . You will not always be alone, but for now, I cannot join So, cry wherever you are until my day has come. . Or perhaps my delusions have taken hold Perhaps my world is the newer And within yours my heart is cold, And my blood flows no more As you stroll in sunlight galore.
Please do not leave me here oh god I’m so cold It’s all so cold down here So, lonely down here I’m calling but It never reaches your ears.
