In another life,
I'll reach for her hand.
Promising her that she will
always be the moon
above the sea.

I have never believed in love,
until her calm soul
tamed the wild in me.

She became the poet
in my veins,
writing scars in my blood
that made me who I am.

So if anyone asks me,
"who you love?"
I'll show them her picture and
answer it with bliss,
"She is."
