Going Off The Rails

If ever a journey
Was destined to fail,
It was the one that travelled
On the rarely used rail.
The train swerved round the bend
Trudged up the hill,
Went straight past the station
(Passengers are waiting there still)
The driver continued
Without any fear
He'd passed many before
Year after year
The distressed station master
Looked rigid with rage,
His face was bright red
(Not good at his age)
When the train hit a tunnel
Then flew into the air
Billy exclaimed
'It just isn't fair'
Standing up he announced
' This is no fun'
Stomped out of the room
And left the train to his son.
