No one ever asked him why
Why his scars are so deep in his skin but he would never hurt a fly
Why he gives so much love even when his heart aches
Why he smiles through the bad days knowing that tomorrow is another day
Why he works so hard to go far but always ends up one step backward
Why he is good to others that do not care to be good back to him

So why not?
Is it because they are afraid they left one of those scars
Or that his heart aches for the love they don't give back
Maybe he smiles because no ever cared when he was sad
Or the step he takes back is because there isn't anything in front of him
And that he is good to all because he knows how it feels to not have a friend
