I Can't Wait
I have prayed for so long
For God to fix where I had gone wrong
Truthfully I do not know
But I am hopeful for a better tomorrow
I had my last penny taken
My entire world shaken
Brought to the ground
And like a church mouse no sound
People that celebrated my rise
Same people celebrated my fall
And those behind begin to rise
And nothing moving for me at all
God said of this before man did
Made me confident He knows about me
But as a human the delay kills me
Even though hope for my next step thrills me
I canβt wait for a better day
As the promises of God seem to delay
I wish I could hear God speak again
An affirmation that could relieve my pain
