I thought I knew love.
When I met you I thought I knew love.
The feeling of consumption when we kissed.
The air thickening.
You said you loved me too.
We would never be apart.
You held my hand so gently and promised a life filled with love.
How did you turn on me so quickly?
Through tears and pain?
I never wanted a goodbye.
But now I see clearly.
You were a damsel in distress.
And me? I was your prince charming.
But I couldn't be.
I didn't know how.
I couldn't even save myself.
So what is love?
Inevitable heartbreak.
Tip of the day; Don't date older individuals :)
