Feb 2019
when you touch me
i feel engulfed in unbearable
hot
a lone pine in a forest fire.
when you speak
my ears threaten to remove
themselves
duress under the beauty
of your words.
when you stare
i crumble upon your gaze
your eyes crack and
split me like
concrete
and when you sing
every part of me reaches
across reality
i must be anywhere
everywhere
you've ever been

i am in love
with what destroys me
