You played your cards
Lined them up one by one
A king never went down
Until another was won.

The lands you traveled
The bridges you crossed
The crowns you wore
The men whose hearts you tore

They were merely pawns
A series of moves
To cross lands unknown
You turned your heart to stone.

Charming boys, but not your prince
Cleverly, with a smile and a nod
You left your bridges open
Lighting a path of broken hearts
Marking a way to your throne.

What was it that you were looking for?
That it made you go through so many men?
Did you realize how many different garments you wore?
Didn't it make you sore?
Or was your search of the arts?

Finally, you stepped up to the throne
Your smile innocent and disarming
But the bridges burned
you step up alone.

You met your dream. You became the Queen of Hearts.
