That moment when I walked up to her wearing a smile on my face
And tried to show confidence but evidently was scared from head to lace
She was standing on the stage in the middle of her performance
While the audience waited for mine.

She was wearing a black top even without make up she looked so beautiful!
I walked up to her slyly, looked at her and smiled,
The music faded and she was confused
She knew something was going on but she had no clue.

Standing there in front of her
I couldn’t stop thinking about the future
I already had plans to nurture.
I just didn’t know what to say
I needed the right words today
Everything was in my head all jumbled
I didn’t care and I just mumbled.

“If a day goes by where I can’t see your face
Or feel our hearts in a close embrace,
I would embark on a worldwide chase
And marry you so we were in the same place.

Here I am on bent knee,
For years this scene I tried to flee
Then I met you and it was clear to me
To be complete you must BE WITH ME!

I thought I had a pretty good life,
Plenty of friends, and lots of stuff.
Then I met you, and saw the strife
Of being alone—it’s kind of rough.
Make me better—be my wife.
I’m really sweet, it’s my act that’s tough.

I know I haven’t been the perfect person,
And I know I haven’t treated you as a queen.
But all I want to do right now is run around carrying you,
But before that by marrying you!

The stars in the sky,
Match the sparkle in your eye.
Love starts with a dance,
Then blooms into romance.
If two become one,
It’s a lot more fun.
My request is simply:
Will you please marry me?”

I pulled out my ancestral ring and she burst into tears
The ring looked so beautiful on her hand
It seemed like my castle on sand.
Hugs and kisses were just the cherry toppings,
But such happiness can never be bought even till coffins.

The audience applauded and wailed happily
Our relationship just moved up rapidly!
It wasn’t gonna be easy but not that hard,
Because I now have my kryptonite shard!
