Tires roll over tired soil
The cherry tree hovers over road
A fresh scent of Life occupies the senses
Family waves, dog licks
Trampoline freedom,
swirling ponytails
and messy mind
Frogs croak, muskrats wiggle
Turtle climb and fish dive while
Tall grass tickles toes.
Nectarous burst of succulent peach
Trickles off tongue
out for family photo
Running between trees. Orchard raised
Tired legs rescued by a tall mighty king clutching the radio flyer
Snuggled down with hand-me-down coat that matches rosy cheeks and fiery spirit
Now recovered, sit on wooden chair
Songs and dance
Entertained
Tomorrow,once more,
Satisfied senses smile
And
Your skin absorbs the warm rays of
Bright
Better
Days.
