Frosted glass on a speeding train.
So deeply do I wish to see the other side.
For past the one-way mirror is your dark hair and childish laughter.

Clearly the glass sparkled with brilliant green and what is now the scent of dust was once fresh air entwined with newly tilled earth.
Many many years have passed since then.

I even pull out the chisel of regret and pain to divine past this wall. Anything is worth a momentary glimpse into the past where you are still alive.

For now, until the day we meet again, pictures and words will have to replace the now faded memories of your smile and childish laughter.
Losing a parent is a pain I wish upon no one. Time heals all wounds, but scars will always paint across the surface.
