Leaning against the wall, a long strand of soft brown hair outlines your face and hovers near your chin.
Soft lips are turned up in a smile. The striking brown in your eyes are fixed. So bright is the light shining from within. In all my days, no joy comes close to what I see now.
Following your gaze over the couch and past the battlefield of toys and crumbs, there they are.
A beautiful blue eyed boy with pure joy. He stands beside his sister with the biggest grin as he stares up at her. Just amazed at how she can clap and sing at the same time.
A beautiful brown eyed girl with overwhelming energy. Even crowing along to a children's tune, her stance rings of strength and a deep knowledge yet to be unlocked.
Breaking my gaze, I return to you. No longer can I be apart and I take the short three steps to you. Standing behind, I pull you close and smell your beautiful scent. Softly I kiss your head and there we stand.
All the long days and sleepless nights fall away in these moments of pure beauty and joy.
You are such an amazing mother. Not even if all the stars above were turned into blessings could they match having you as a wife and mother of our children.
