Floating in the darkness of an endless dread,
Convinced it can only lead to lying dead,
Lost in the pits of what it means to be living,
A despair that just keeps on giving.

But, amidst this, keep driving forward,
Something drawing me away from the end,
A shoulder more then willing to lend,
A light in the distance to strive toward.
