In the beginning
starting with a powerful need
there was fire, desire
a tendency toward greed

In the middle
came the perfect beauty
two hearts possessing
each others every liberty

And the end
brought devastation
two souls not quite ready
for the affairs completion

Perhaps they misjudged and
wonderment was in each part
but, alas, the end was there
with them from the very start
