I Fear My Potential
I can not, I will not succumb to the darkness that resides within. And yet I must, for the darkness is powerful, unrelenting and unstoppable. It consumes me as a dog clears its bowl, swiftly and without hesitation. If I allow it to take over, succumb to its promise, I will become the darkness. Powerful, unrelenting, unstoppable! If I succumb to the darkness I will become all that I despise. Violent, bullying, arrogant and filled with hateful rage. So I resist the urge to succumb, I remain static and powerless. My potential scares me.
