Book II.

you kissed the scar below my breast.

the scar that resembles the

eye of providence.

there was horror in your eyes.

you asked me where

my blood flows from

and i did not know.

what i did discover, however,

was that with who I am

and all i believe in and love

corresponds with this scar

that i was born with.

i always knew where it was

but i never really focused

on the shape; and

come to find out that this symbol wound, to me, was

absolutely frightening

and completely satisfying at the same time.

when i discovered it,

i had stars in my stomach,

it was like looking at it for the first time.

it told me that

i was born to be;

born to create

born to know

I finally knew that i was of the sibylline highborn.
