WHISPERED MEMORY
IF I WHISPERED YOU A MEMORY
WOULD THAT BRING A TEAR TO
YOUR EAR
AS MY BREATH CONJURES UP
CERTAIN THOUGHTS
YOU HOLD SO DEAR
AND ITS ONE MORE TIME ON THIS
MERRY-GO- ROUND RIDING THE HORSE
AND LAUGHING WITH THE CLOWNS
THIS SLOW UP AND DOWN ON THIS RIDE
WE GO ROUND AND ROUND
ABSORBING THE MUSIC
HOLDING ONTO OUR PRIME
AND WILL MY BREATH MAKE YOU WEAK
WILL I NEED TO KEEP YOU UPRIGHT
AS OUR FEELINGS DRIP DOWN THE SEWERS
OF LOVE LOST, FOREVER THIS NIGHT
FOR THIS WILL BE OUR LAST TIME
ON THIS MERRY-GO-ROUND
RIDING THE HORSE, AND LAUGHING
WITH THE CLOWNS
AS THE SLOW UP AND DOWN OF THIS RIDE
COMES TO A STOP, AS WE SLOWLY DISMOUNT
WE'LL WALK AWAY, WITHOUT MAKING A SOUND
