I remember when things were different
when we used to mess around
in the back of you dad's crv

I remember when things were good
when you used to kiss me
at every red light we passed

I remember when things were easy
when I would look at you and smile
when I caught you looking at me

I remember when things were fun
when we would have picnics in the park
Where we sat in the warmth the sun cast

But now things are different
You mess with my heart
if you think it will get you what you want

But now things aren't good
We fight like animals
trying to get the upper hand or last word

But now things aren't easy
it feels like talking to a ghost
who instead of a house, my heart you haunt
