Should old acquaintance be forgot,

And the words of our fathers taken for granted,

Let us, at least, remember the strength of

Human compassion,

during these times that are so filled

with tragedy, sorrow, and strife.

Let us be lights of virtue, and

Forever remember the values of our ancestors

In the days of Auld Lang Syne.
