I've taken
a holiday

from myself
such a relief

not to have to be
me for a moment

longer I
couldn't bear it.

Not to have to see my face
in a mirror

or to be followed around
by my shadow.

It's really quite something
to be nothing

if only for
a little while.

Like being dead
without being dead.

But now its back
to being me

day after day
after day.

Can't wait for
my next holiday.
