Springtime's Tune
What a day for a daydream
Fine night for an 'I scream'
Don't you know I feel 'real mean'
My hob nailed boots are 'real clean'
Well the summer time's a coming
It's just around the bend
And I'm singing and a humming
Give me happy times again
Shake your body, move your mind
Leave those painful thoughts behind
Move on up to higher ground
Where peace and laughter can be found
The birds sing sweatly in the trees
Late 'Springtime's Tune' has been revealed
And hear I sit with folded knees
Thoughts in my brain remain concealed
Alone once more so naturally
Planning moves so carefully
The winding road the broken code
That nightmare waiting to explode
The clocks still ticking on my wall
Time moves so fast it does not crawl
Movement and motion time and speed
Generosity humanity wealth and greed
Fly away I say do it today
Spread your wings it's all OK
Free your mind from confusion boats
And don't give politicians votes!
This deserves a bottle of champagne methinks!
