Dec 2018
I watched the great demolition from the window
grand ballrooms dripped in decadence
sentenced to their own extinction
as the chandelier came crashing down
each crystal cascaded perfectly
like a million tiny meteors
i couldn’t pull my gaze from the theatrics
the predestined downfall
of an empire
