The Smile that Lingers
The smile that lingers on your lips,
The back and forth sway of your hips,
Your skin beneath my fingertips.
Promises of sleepless nights,
Melodies and dimming lights,
I've got you within my sights.
Tomorrow brings another day,
All I want is for you to stay,
For one more hour is all I pray.
Our paths run parallel but never touch,
Sharing thoughts and skin and such,
I only hope it's not too much.
