New day!

It's a new day, a new year

It's for sure a new decade

The sun still rising gracefully in the East

The stars still shining bright in the sky!

A part of me feels powerful and in control..

Looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead!

Though, a part of me simply wants to enjoy the moment,

Sitting in a beautiful park and let that morning sun fall on my face!

I want to sprint down the road

And feel my heart beating fast and blood rushing to my face..

And I want to walk down the same road

Talking and laughing with a close friend by my side!!

I wish to learn something new right now

Lots of lessons learnt in the year just gone!

But, I also wish to smile right now,

For, there are lots of beautiful memories of the year just gone..

It's a new day just as every other one

A new decade, again as the one just gone..

But my feelings are stronger

Making this one day just a little more special!

Special, for it feels like i'm again at the end of a road

So that, I can start off on a new path

And it indeed feels like I'm at the crossroads again

Trying to find a path to which I belong!

It's a new day, it's a new year..

And indeed it is a new decade..

A milestone to sit and reflect on the past

A present to decide the future path!
