( The cry of a poet )

I write these words to  ease my pain
                                to fill my hollow soul

They rise from a place were peace is lost
a place you dare to go

These sleepless nights I lie awake
as I drift into my past

These trembling hands they grow so week
I pray that they will last

As time stands still I take a breath
                        and scream into the night
When the darkness fades I feel relief
as I see the morning light

Once again I made it through
But never will it be in vain
I'll continue on this lonesome ride
And forever will I chase the rain
