I don't want to write a poem today,
I don't want to look for a rhyme to say.

I just want to sleep-to go to bed,
to wake up, no worries, and play with my friends.

I don't want to find a rhythm to obey,
I don't want to think that hard today.

I just want to eat and smile and laugh,
to love and be loved and walk my own path.

I don't want to write a poem today,
I just want to sleep in my bed all day.
