If I could keep
Every conversation in a box
In a secret kept with a lock
I'd call it home
And cast it to sea

If I could touch
Every pinprick on my heart
All the things that make love hard
I'd brush my fingers
On a listless possibility

And if I could know
That two people can't stay in love
The rules all change when you grow up
Then maybe then my world
Could continue
