What is that ear-piercing sound?
Maybe it's a cars tires,
Or an animal,
Yeah an animal.

You rule out every single possibility,
That it could be yourself.
You say you're fine,
But you let the past and memories remind you.
Even when you're together with other people,
You feel like you're the last of your kind.

Nobody pays attention to how you act,
To how you feel.
And then it becomes true,
You end up as the very last of your kind.
It's like looking at yourself,
From outside of your body.
Then you realize.

You're afraid,
You're alone.
All you have is yourself.
You really are the last of your kind.
