Old Soul
Old Soul
I was always told,
I have an old soul
But I’ve always longed for my youth
It’s painful for me to smile
Like someone stole my inner child
But he is alive, and I have proof
When it rains,
I wonder if God is in pain
-My imagination still runs wild
With dreams -big and bold
My soul maybe old
But my spirit is of a child
They say you only live once
So don’t be a dunce…
Don't spend your time wasting away
I may have lived multiple times
And had multiple minds…
Hopefully this time I'll find my way
To be wise beyond your years
Takes struggle, drenched in tears
Most people would simply fall apart
Youth is wasted on the young
But my life has just begun
So I'll fight to stay young at heart
