Oh Africa!
My Mother land
A place of resources; filled with milk and honey
A beauty of nature from tender sight
The land I belong and live
Oh Africa!!
A land blessed by God Himself
Gold is what You are made of
Your stones are thrown from the above with some style
Crude oil is the boom that makes You proud
Oh Africa!!!

Oh Africa!
Why do You neglect Your pride
Why are You silent in who You are?
When You converse; You use the language of the West
Your own children try to distance themselves, fashion themselves and talk like those from the West
Your waves are filled with music;
Fast beats, foul language and heavy metal from the West.
Even the foods You eat;
All processed and purchased from the West
You turned traditional foods and ceremonies to joke
You have forgotten who yYou are.

Oh Africa
It's enough!!!
You slept too long
You've forgotten that You are meant to roar
But now Your roar isn't strong
It's not until You sleep away Your Glory
Run away and take Your crown with You
Look for Your true Soldiers
For a day, You're made
And a day; You'll return to where You belong
Oh Africa!!!
