In moments after rage
A bemused expression appeared, aside
her vulnerability, that shimmered around her body
In a way that left him, In uncontrollable fury
Pursing her, with the wrath of his existence
She assumed the darkness escaped
the fragility of their souls
The talks were brief those days and the words were often muttered
She listened to the ruthless sounds that often were repeated
The resonance of his voice
Became the origin of entrenched resistance
Awaiting, the calmness that comes from another day
But what happens when that moment is all we have
To stay.
