I sit alone
In the dark
Nothing to do nothing to say
I can feel them watching me
Judging me
I can feel their eyes

The criticism and pain
Is unbearable
I can’t do this

The pounds of makeup
That make me pretty
But burns of emotional scars
That make me ugly inside

I’ve been pushed aside
And walked all over
I refuse to take it
But all I can hear is the whole world
Laughing as I cry
