I shed a tear for those who have come before.

To get old and know that the future will decide to ignore me

I shed a tear for those who come now and those to come after

Having to clean up the mess that was made, instead of having fun after

I she a tear to the parents who have lost and buried those that they have spawn’

Knowing that only the dust of time can cure the pain cause at dawn

I shed a tear when I hear that part of our youth has been expired

When those who can no longer cope and becomes defeated and tired.

I shed a tear for the soldier fighting a war so unclear

Looking for a world filled with compassion, and yet finding none here.

I she a tear for those that are in search for justice

Asking the question why? The answer always given, “Just is”.

I shed several tears for the loss of our planet

This world is in the muck, and this is where we ran it

For the trials and tribulations, the bricks upon our shoulder

For those children who lost the right to exist one more hour older.

For those who fear the flooding rain that coming

For the one that sees the light, but it’s actually a rain that coming

For those who try to sweep the skeletons under the dresser

For those who give up and fall under the pressure

For those who believe that courageous is something that you have to pretend to be

For those who think if we are not one in the same, then I am the enemy.

For those who want me dead, just because they are no kin to me

I shed a tear for any one mentioned in this verse.

Mostly I shed a tear for my eyes, my blessing, and my curse.
